Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 August 2026

Your unspoken question remains yours.

The Infinite does not ask you to type, speak or submit your question. It does not hear, record, transmit, store or analyse the question you hold privately in your mind.

1. Scope

This policy explains how JCapps Digital handles information associated with The Infinite Android app, The Infinite website and its early-testing program.

In this policy, “The Infinite”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to JCapps Digital.

2. Information stored locally in the app

The Infinite stores the following information on your device so its features can work:

  • passages you save;
  • journal text you choose to write;
  • saved books and daily passages;
  • app preferences, including appearance and reveal settings;
  • whether onboarding has been completed; and
  • a locally cached record of whether Remove Ads is owned.

This material is not uploaded by JCapps Digital to an account or synchronised between devices. The app does not currently require you to create an account.

You can delete locally stored user material through the app’s data deletion option. Uninstalling the app will also ordinarily remove its locally stored app data, subject to the way Android and Google Play manage device backups and purchases.

3. Network services used by the app

Quantum-position service

When an online quantum selection is requested, the app sends a numerical upper boundary to a protected Firebase Cloud Function. It does not send your private question, journal text or saved passages. Firebase App Check is used to help confirm that requests come from an authentic installation of the app.

Corpus delivery

The app downloads collection indexes and literary source material from JCapps Digital’s corpus service. As with ordinary internet requests, hosting and network providers may process technical information such as IP address, request time, requested file and basic security logs.

Secure local fallback

If the protected quantum service is unavailable, the app may use secure randomness generated locally on your device. The app identifies the method used for a reveal.

4. Advertising and consent

The free version of The Infinite uses Google Mobile Ads to display banner advertising. Google’s User Messaging Platform is used to check whether a consent or privacy-options message is required and whether advertising requests are permitted.

Depending on your device, region, settings and consent choices, Google’s advertising services may process information including:

  • IP address and approximate general location;
  • device, app-set, advertising or account-related identifiers;
  • app launches, taps and other app or advertisement interactions;
  • diagnostic and performance information; and
  • information used for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention.

Advertising choices can be reviewed through the privacy-options entry in the app when Google requires that option to be available. Android also provides device-level advertising controls.

Advertising is not requested after the app recognises that the Remove Ads entitlement is owned.

5. Google Play purchases

The Infinite offers a one-time Remove Ads purchase through Google Play. Google processes payment and purchase information under its own terms and privacy practices.

The app receives purchase status information needed to complete, recognise or restore the entitlement. JCapps Digital does not receive your complete payment-card details.

6. Early testing and website forms

When you apply to become an early tester, the application form may collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, Google Play account, Android device details, testing availability and answers about your interest in the app.

This information is used to administer testing, communicate with testers, troubleshoot access, record completion of testing requirements and provide any earned early-tester reward.

The tester form is currently provided through Tally. Access to the closed Google Play test may also involve Google Groups and Google Play. Those providers process information under their own privacy policies.

7. Service providers

Information may be processed by service providers only as needed to operate, secure, distribute or administer The Infinite. These include:

  • Google Firebase and Firebase App Check;
  • Google Mobile Ads and the User Messaging Platform;
  • Google Play and Google Play Billing;
  • Google Groups for closed-test access;
  • Cloudflare for website and corpus hosting or delivery; and
  • Tally for early-tester forms.

These services may process data in Australia or other countries where they or their infrastructure operate.

8. Sharing and sale of information

JCapps Digital does not sell your submitted personal information.

Information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to operate the app, comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect users, investigate misuse or defend legal rights.

Advertising providers may treat certain transfers for personalised advertising as “sharing” under some privacy laws. Applicable choices are presented through Google’s consent and privacy systems where required.

9. Retention

Local app information remains on your device until you delete it, delete app data or uninstall the app, subject to device and store backup behaviour.

Early-testing and contact information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to administer testing, communicate about The Infinite, maintain reward records, meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. You may request deletion of information controlled by JCapps Digital.

Third-party providers retain information according to their own policies and legal obligations.

10. Security

JCapps Digital uses reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information handled. Network communications use encrypted HTTPS connections where supported.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Your choices and requests

You may:

  • avoid writing journal entries or saving passages;
  • delete local user data within the app;
  • review available advertising privacy choices;
  • reset or delete your Android advertising identifier;
  • decline to submit an early-tester form; or
  • ask to access, correct or delete personal information controlled by JCapps Digital.

Requests can be sent to [email protected] . We may need enough information to identify the relevant record and verify the request.

12. Children

The Infinite is not designed or directed specifically to children. JCapps Digital does not knowingly ask children to submit personal information through the app.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when The Infinite’s features, providers or legal obligations change. The current version will remain available at this address and will show its latest revision date.
